ABOUT dr. anthony broccoli

I consider myself extremely lucky to work in the field of orthodontics. It is wonderful to help people achieve the beautiful smile they have always wanted. I really enjoy working together with my patients to customize their treatment to their needs. It is particularly gratifying to be involved with my younger patients during their transformation from child to beautiful young adult.

Orthodontics was not always my first career choice. I graduated from high school as class valedictorian with a love of math and science. I thought engineering would be a great career choice, so I attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. Although I enjoyed the mechanical and scientific aspects of engineering, I soon decided I would prefer a career that allows more interaction with people. I had always thought that Orthodontics was an interesting field; it combines science and mechanics, and allows you to help others on a very individual basis. So, it was off to Dental School!

I attended the Tufts School of Dental Medicine, where I received my DMD degree Summa Cum Laude. Although I enjoyed many areas in the field of dentistry, Orthodontics was my calling. Finishing second in my dental school class allowed me to choose between several orthodontic residencies. I was honored to be able to attend the Tufts orthodontic program.

When I attended the Tufts orthodontic program, one of my instructors was Dr. Edward Miller. Dr. Miller had a private practice in Andover, which he established in 1959. I was very excited when Dr. Miller asked me to join his practice upon completion of my residency.

After graduation I completed extensive testing to become certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeast Society of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Society of Orthodontists, and the Tufts Association of Orthodontists. I am also a member in good standing of the national and local Dental Associations. I am on staff at the Isham health care center at Phillips Academy Andover, and see many of the Phillips students either as my own patients, or to assist their hometown orthodontist in keeping the student’s treatment on track.

I am a member of St. Augustine’s Church, and am active in UNICO, a local service group. I enjoy sports, gardening, cooking, fishing, and spending time with my family. My wife Sarita and I have three children; Morgan, Broc, and Maddie.

Thank you for your interest and consideration.
